PMs - be careful of anyone digging for info

regulars -

just a reminder that in these times when we are under threat from complainers to the hosting company who would like to see us closed down without any hesitation that if anyone PMs you digging for info, or not understanding some of the forum content, they may be setting a trap.

i've been contacted by one concerned regular who has become suspicious about PMs they have received. remember what you PM back to other users can be used in court. so really - the same rules apply in your PMs as they do on the forum. If you want to have an exchange of frank views about anything, do it by email or text message, but avoid relating any of it to the forum, or such evidence can be taken to the hosting company.

maybe i am still paranoid. but better a forum with a paranoid moderator then no forum at all (or website for that matter)

unless you have met posters face to face, they can pretend to be someone they are not. remember that,

be careful. be suspicious of lines of enquiry. you know it makes sense...

Bloody hell, do these people have OCD for the website? If you have to snoop and pretend to dig the dirt, then what exactly is offending them? Are the hosting company so sensitive that they can't see what's going on?

It's peculiar if people have to use machavellian methods to discover things to offend them.

Good luck with the OCD and can we get back to the football?
