Auction Items - Rocky Remembered

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Auction Items - Rocky Remembered

Post by Reg Niseth »

We have a list of items for auction on the night. We're still waiting for confirmation of some more which I'll add to this list as and when I get more info. We're also trying to find a way that fans not attending can make a bid so if anyone has any thoughts as to how that can work successfully I'd appreciate it.

signed cesc, walcott, van persie, gilberto limited edition numbered print (inside the bowl)

Did the club help you out in the end?

Im not sure but there must be a private auction website or something similar.
Great work, should raise a hell of a lot of money.

They have promised a number of items but until we know exactly what they are have not listed them.

I've still got my Online Gooner XI shirt that DB10 knocked up the other year.

If I sign it and send in a certificate of authentication, do you think you'll get much for it?

Sometimes I still find it hard to believe that Rocky is dead. :(

I spent alot of my early twenties watching cheering on that Anfield 89 side and I suppose I kind of identify with them probably more than with most other Arsenal sides because it correlated with a very fun time in my life (single, drunk as fuck for alot of it, regular footy trips, fucking around with the ladies, lads piss-up hols to Ibiza/Canaries etc and just having a hell of a good time). I always associate those 89 and 91 title sides with that part of my life. And Rocky was a key part of those teams.

The fact he died so young is just very sad. :(

RIP Rocky. 8)

Rocky will always be one of my favourite players his heart and desire were as good as his skill on the pitch and you could see he loved Arsenal Football Club, i even got to shake his hand once. He died a couple days before my dad so it has even more meaning to me personally. Hope they got to meet at the pearly gates.

Reg if you find a way of bidding for items for people who arent attending please post it here

The club CAN'T pass up on something like this. They should at least have a mention on the screens, in the programme etc. I doubt the players will wear shirts in his name warming up or anything major like that. Though you never know...

As for them not contributing to the event I don't think they need to wind us up anymore at the moment. I would NOT be happy about their lack of involvement.
