As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Jesus Christ. Why are dragging up these ancient threads?
As for TheTheo, in fairness he has been written off numerous times and in all honesty, he still offers little more than pace and the odd goal. His footballing brain is still relatively undeveloped.
Would I stick with him? Maybe. His pace can upset defenders but he doesn't give the killer pass or score enough goals for me. And he is injury prone. Maybe keep him as a sub to bring on and run at tired defenders but if we were offered big bucks I'd sell him.
and still is written off, an injury prone headless chicken with little end product, at best an impact sub.
if any decent offer came in i would drive him to the airport, its only the fact that he is english gets him so much press exposure and thus perpetuates the myth that he is of any actual use.
No-one is right all the time and the jury is still out on Theo as far as im concerned. Why are you bringing up old threads to try to score points? Im embarrassed for you
Dragging up threads from that long ago is pure bullshit........if you have something new to say (and you usually have a lot to say) then start a new fcuking thread

I prefer to drag up an old thread if it gives me the opportunity to ram some rosetinters words down his throat

Well quite. I was one of those that dared to criticise our so called boy wonder back then...you'd find lots of comments I made if you looked back far enough. And guess what ? I stand by them now. The guy has been here for 5 years, is just as injury prone as RvP, still displays all the lack of intelligence that he did back then etc etc. Just because he had half a decent at the start of the year doesn't correct all of that. He was f+++ing woeful at home to Stoke before going off injured, repeatedly running into the full back and giving them ample opportunity to hoof the ball into our area.
He's played over 100 times and I would say has been effective in around a fifth of them.
He gets an easy ride for being English.
What I would say is that his absence at the moment is felt more acutely because this is the slowest Arsenal side I can remember in Wenger's time; take him out and we are predictably one-paced and tippy tappy.
He's been better this season; not awful, but not fantastic either.
In Henry's first half season there were plenty of people writing him off too. Last time I looked, I think it was called 'having an opinion'

3 years ago Diaby HAD the potential. But unfortunately he hasn't moved forward at all and is actually less of a player now than he was then, probably due to oppo players now knowing how to handle him.

Exactly mate.
And Walcott, let's be fair, has not pulled up any trees whatsoever so he hasn't made it - oh wait, he has, he's earning a fortune for sitting on the RvP sponsored sidelines for 3 months every season.
