As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No that’s just where I stopped looking. I thought 3 recent seasons was enough to back up my point. But if you want me to pull your pants down in front of the whole forum again, I’m happy to do so Mr 10 and will keep researching.
Like that time at the fans game when in front of everyone you had to hand over the £20 RVP bet I won? You mean like that time huh? Yep. You sure showed me!
Yep, I showed you how to be dignified and gracious when you let your heart rule your head.
But still, this year? 11 down 4 to go, you might need to dismantle that picture frame you proudly display the twenty in on your front room wall and hand it back eh?
See DB? If we got rid of RVP you wouldn't have any more decoration in your room!

Are you that rich Number 5? Wanna bet on Almunia not making any mistakes 'till the end of the season?
The thing about Van Persie is I honestly think he is unlucky in challenges. Its not like he’s Ledley King with dodgy knees or Michael Owen and his hamstrings.
He seems to injure a different part of his body for an extended time. And as I’m sure DB10, a man who has suffered an injury to all 206 bones in the human body, will testify sometimes your just unlucky at sports.

But no. The book is closed on Almunia.
Totally spot on! May I add that I believe it also has to do with the "physio" (not sure how you call the coach that takes care of your physical shape) not doing his job properly.
I don't know what exercise he does on a regular basis, but since he joined he never really gained muscular mass which helps you take hits.

Should point out that I broke all those bones over a 37 year playing career. And I'm still playing. Through the pain. For no money.

TBF to DB he has broken his bones so many times in so many places that he technically now has 870 bones in his body so has a far higher risk of another breakage when he enters the field of play.....climbs into bed, sneazes, farts, swallows etc etc
So basically it has not yet been determined if he is injured or not.
But we’re ranting and raving much like after the league cup final when he was supposedly going to be out for a long time. But wasn’t.
Van Persie currently leads our goalscorers on 11 for the league and 15 overall. He also has 5 assists. And the solution to our woes is to sell him?
Now I don’t confuse very easily but this shit has me stumped.
Wouldn’t the better option be to keep him as clearly he is a very valuable player and still invest in another top class striker instead?
Compare the supposed £80k per week contract he has to that of Bendtner on £50k per week and this mother thinks Van Persie is a god damned bargain. Even for half a season.
Exactly but when i mentioned something similiar in earlier post was told i had a blinkered view

This has it's advantages though. I heard that when he was on holiday and his kids buried him in the sand then couldn't find him, all it took was a quick once round the beach with a metal detector and they dug him right up.

They didn't bury him, one of them accidentally dropped a bucket of sand on him

So as far as we all know he will be playing on Saturday until we hear otherwise. I think some of you have jumped the gun here slightly crucifying the guy and burying his career. Just chill Winston.
Seriously has anyone actually heard anything concrete? All I see is he was taken off with an apparent knee injury, andmthere is confision about that but no one is sure how much if any time he will miss.
Maybe we should just wait till we know a bit more?
By the way the was wrong Quartz - but very funny as well OOPS worng thread
