Booing last night
I called my Dad last night after the game and the main thing he wasnt happy about was the number of people booing. In the end he said he had a argument with the person behind him about it. Ive never boo'd the Arsenal, and although the result was crap, we shouldnt boo

I booed at the end of the game. Not during, not aimed at one player in particular....but at the end of the game I booed. Why ? Because for the second home game in a row I'd witnessed another drab, uninspired 90 minutes against opponents bereft of confidence and with the worst defensive away record in the League.
Why are people so precious about it ?
For everyone like me there were still hundreds chasing the players cars from the car park down to the Tollington, there to repair and massage their sensitive little egos.
They must be the 'proper fans' I guess.....

Re: Booing last night
I spend €1300 on a season ticket and a small fortune on flights etc to get over to the games. I let a cousin of mine go to the game yesterday but if I had've been there I would have booed too.benthegooner wrote:I called my Dad last night after the game and the main thing he wasnt happy about was the number of people booing. Would you prefer we clap them off and let Wenger give the usual excuses - referree, rugby tactics, bad pitch.
If we don't boo they'll never get the message

Spot on. We stood in The Tollington watching the same after the Sunderland match. What a jokeSteveO 35 wrote:For everyone like me there were still hundreds chasing the players cars from the car park down to the Tollington, there to repair and massage their sensitive little egos.

The poor precious little darlings!!
Boo them? The anger I have felt over the last month was so bad that booing was the least of the things I felt capable of last night.
I have been in a terrible mood today and do you know what made it worse? I kept thinking how many of the players on that pitch last night felt how I did today. Somehow I don't think there were very many.
Maybe it is easier to take when you only play football at our club for the huge salary and have zero feelings for it.

I booed and ranted about how he's had 6 years to fix our problems. Nobody had a go at me, and I'd have told them to get lost if they had. 2 more of our bunch seriously thinking of knocking season tickets on the head. At least being a silver I can vote with my feet. I'm glad people booed, I hope very soon there will be vocal anger towards the manager, he deserves it.
Glad to hear people booing last night, Wenger's Precious, Pampered Princesses deserved no less after the disgrace most of them have been since the Carling Cup.
Considering how much the club take out of our bank accounts a year the fans have a right to express their veiws.
The lap of honour at the last home game of the season should be interesting.

I understand kids doing it because they are just star struck, but honestly, half of those doing it yesterday were grown men. The same 'grown men' that have WILSHERE 19 printed on the back of their shirt even though are old enough to be his Dad.Dec wrote:Spot on. They probably don't boo though and I bet like all 'good fans' should that they sing all those fantastically original songs like "Stand up if you hate Tott-num" and "Red Army" for 90 minutes. And I bet they spend at least £10 on nachos and the other congealed shit that the caterers dish up.
Oh I wish, I could be a proper fan too, applauding everything and leaving my 7 year old standing on the pavement as I sprint for Bendtner's autograph before the traffic lights turn green.
