swiss phil (again)

swiss phil (again)

Post by burns718 »

i know we have discussed it before but, after last nights performance and his current improvement in form, would you keep big phil in the team. Would be great for his confidence. Some will say the reams we have played haven’t been great, but u can only play wats in front of you, plus the games we have got left are against similar standard sides (except united an chavs). Plus we haven’t kept a great deal of clean sheets against these sides, even when king kolo is in the team, im not blaming him.

Play Senderos against the Chavs or even the mancs  .....I fucking hope not, they will kill him for pace. Yes he has put in some good performances but he still has the turning circle of a cruise ship.

If Toure is fit he plays. End of.

You play your best players and King Kolo is better than Swiss Phil

I havent knocked swiss phil like some but I do acknowledge that as well as he has played of late he just isnt up to it against the likes of dogbreath. Kolo has to come back in but I dont think he is as natural a defender as phil but he has more pace to cover his and his team-mates mistakes.

Funnily enough I like the idea of 3 centre backs and have long been a supporter of a system that will allow clichy and sagna to bomb forward plus it will despense of the need for wingers cos clearly we aint got any

I know he has been away a while but how can you forget the Stanley Matthews of the African continent Emmanuel Eboue?

If Senderos starts consistently playing well then it's just as well Eboue's coming back, eh?

no place for sentiments in sport i'm afraid. Phil will know he isn't and will not be first choice while willie and toure have an hole in their arse.

this is simply because they are better players. phil has to take pride and satisfaction from the fact that he has proven himself, once again, to be an adequate replacement for either. Phil will also know that gallas and toure will not play every single game therefore, he will get his chance, and in some cases will get an extended run in the team.

Phil you are the third best CH we have, well done.

Looks like Toure is in contention to play against Man Utd

I'd play Senderos as he has been in good form and Toure is tired plus he got an injury. We should save Toure for the AC Milan match.
