As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Am I reading this correctly about Ade getting motm ? How in gods name did he get it ? I thought he had a fucking 'mare last night and I would have subbed him long before his goal (which was a great finish by the way). I thought he looked like the ade of old (& that aint good )
Did anyone else notice our subs bench last night ? A keeper, a striker and 3 full backs ??? I know it was mentioned lately about a sub standard bench but last night was shocking
Augie you obviously not lookng at this clearly!
Last week we had just the two full backs on the bench (Hoyte, Traore) and it was a weakness that could have been exploited by a better side! God knows what we would have done if both full backs had got injured as we only had the two specialist replacements as well as Flamini who can play in that position more than competently if required.
This is clearly the reason why Wenger used his god like wisdom and "beefed up" the bench against a stronger side like Blackburn by adding Gilbert!
For this reason it is obvious that against Man Yoo on Saturday we will have four full backs on the bench by adding Eboue! It makes complete sense to have four replacement full backs against a strong side like Man Yoo despite the fact you can only make three substitutions!
Also look forward to a busy summer in the transfer market as with the quota of subs allowed per game going up to seven we have at least two full back positions to fill!
Thinking that we were without Almunia, Toure, Eboue, Djourou, Denilson, Diaby, Rosicky, Van Persie and Walcott. And with Senderos and Flamini being doubts prior to the game, it would seem justified on that point alone to strengthen the bench with defensive players.
On sky sports news at lunchtime I am sure that they said that no team that has led the league with more than 60 pts after 26 games has ever failed to win the league that season Could this be an omen in our favour
