For saying things people are saying there now two years sooner.

Actually it a temporary ban for an arcane rule violation because I complained about a oderator singling me out for discipline when before he was a moderator he sent obscenity laden PMs telling me to eat shit and die and other such things.

I could care less about what he thought of me but knew as a a moderator he was incapable of objenctively or honestly doing his job and sent a letter to the super moderator stating as much as was told I had broken some weird rule about complaining about other forum members(ignoring that i was worried about being unfairly banned by a moderator).

I could apply and have my ban lifted any time but why bother - either antifan will ban me without justification or if I try to avoid that I will be banned for complaining about him.

Agreed to an extent mate but I wouldn't want to be in a situation of spending crazy money on overrated players and sacking any manager within a season. Usmanov on the board with Dein back as an influence, but not in full control, would be ideal IMO because he'd be an influence but not a controlling one.

Agree with this, Dein back but the club ownership structure the same, if we get the russian we could end up being saddled with crap debt like the chavs or dippers or Surrey utd.

Obviously all those who for some reason think that'll be the end of the world and that we 'don't want his sort' need not bother turning up. They'll be too busy in the middle of an 8 year (and counting) daydream that Chelsea are about to go to the wall and that good old UEFA's financial play will protect Lord Wenger and all that live in Moralhighgroundsville
im with you

all hail usmanov :barscarf:

And let me know where you live cos I'll be over for that party too :barscarf: :barscarf:

My only concern is that if DD returns, and I do want David Dein to return, he will side with wenger so we wont get the required change at managerial level :( We really need a change at every level of the managerment of this club from the boardroom down to the manager, coaching staff and medical staff but sadly I am afraid that some will feel that the boardroom is the only thing holding us back

Good news could be anything from re negotiating a new sponsorship deal or hiring a new catering firm for the ground, I'm not holding out much hope.

The scary thing is that might be precisely the case.

we will however, get the one thing that used to make wenger great.

he's slowly lost the plot since dein went and cant help but think having dein actually having the balls to tell him when he's wrong could make it work again?

you just know there willbe a big fanfare and announcement along the lines of "arsenal are pleased to announce we have secured a major coup by signing the best up and coming hot dog flipper.at 14 years of age he will hopefully hit his peak by 2019 and this could help serve as many as 3 extra tourists per halftime.web beat off a number of clubs for his signature and will be paying him the standard £50,000 per week."

I think that's actually more likely with Stan Kroenke given how thin his resources were spread even before he took full control of the St Louis Rams. Usmanov would have more money available now to buy us if that is his intent.

Absolutely. David Deins influence was huge in attracting players. In fact, perhaps it WAS DD who got these people for us and wenger just gave the stamp of approval.

Outstanding. Went to South America. Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil, a few months out there. Had a very pleasant time, and recharged our batteries very nicely, thanks.

Serious bit of gossip, btw, although like I said previously I think it's just Lady BS selling the shares.

What would please me is if Usmanov came on board - with David Dein - and kept Wenger in control, but with less power than he has now, and maybe a bit of a guiding hand at times.

We certainly need a bit of a change of direction, and with Usmanov spending his own money ( like he offered to do previously ) and David Dein and Wenger getting stuck into the transfers, maybe we could get out of this very tedious rut that we find ourselves trapped in.

Just imagine DD and Wenger going out with cash to spend this summer. They wouldn't have to go mad, just address the problem areas that I think everyone and their dog has identified by now.

Wenger said himself that this season would be the last with his project if it failed to bring results, and - although the season isn't finished yet and we still have a mathematical chance of the PL - I think we all believe that it's gone now.

Cautiously optimistic, although of course it could just be an announcement that we've decided to re-decorate the Boardroom.
