I find the artical on Speed Kills a tiny bit inappropriate- While I appreciate the principles of the letter that the writer wants the greatest impact from the crouds singing, I really dont think we are in a position to criticise the tempo and pitch of the singing at the stadium people- Its a bonus to have any kind of singing at some games so lets not start debating the musical qualities of those who do want to be heard. One person mentioned the annoyance of drunken people singing out of tune (?!?!) I thought this was football. I didnt realise there were X factor criteria to match? And those people who sing their own songs which he also mentioned are the characters who used to make standing on the Northbank and Clock end 15 odd years ago a real experience.
Lets not worry ourselves about how we sing our songs- please just keep singing the best you can
