Danny Fiszman passes away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I understand DF actually transferred his shares into a beneficial trust last week so that the deal would go through once all the negotiations had been finalised even if after his death rather than have further complications and delays.

He made his money in diamonds and chose to invest in Arsenal both his time and money- no one forced him to and he could have lost money- plenty do in football clubs.

His big disagreement with Dein was around his belief in the new stadium when in fact this is the one area where Dein was wrong - he wanted Wembley and never approved of the Emirates.

DF will go down as part of our history and was a Gooner through and through so only deserves respect- only wankers will slag him off at this particular time
:duh:

Young age to die these days.
He did a lot for us to build the new stadium.
Some say he did not spend enough on players, but what proof is there of that?
None.
He was happy to authorise a lot of spending before the new stadium, Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Ljungberg were all bought when he was largest shareholder.
Apparently he was a profiteer, built up the share price for his own benefit so he could take advantage of his ill gotten gains in the last couple of days of his life, along with the £150m he already had in the bank...
The share price rose because others wanted to buy shares.
Fiszman authorised largest transfer fees club has ever spent!

Being rich is not a crime.

Next time you complain about the new stadium remember that because of Fiszman over 20,000 more fans get to see us every game than in Highbury.
:? Sarcasm mate i thought it was pretty obvious...

My thoughts like so many are with his family.

You Sir are an idiot. Since you joined this forum you have highjacked every thread possible to spout drivel and now you take offence. I'm embarrassed for you.

It was not obvious B-G apologies.

There are those on here who have criticised Fiszman at almost every opportunity.

Point taken.

Point taken Flash and my last post on the subject. Just to reiterate in case it was lost in my other post, my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
