Danny Fiszman passes away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

RIP Danny,

Yes I read that the £7.5m for Bergkamp was paid out by him and only him.

The sentimental side of me says that he held on in there to see the club move on to it's new pastures. I would like to think that was the case.

Thoughts and prayers with your family at this time.

O'Leary

RIP Mr. Fiszman, a great man and a loyal Arsenal supporter.

I first heard the news on facebook, the official Arsenal group posted the announcement. Since then 2,256 people have 'liked' the status, I'm not sure if this is a sign of support or if people just 'like' every status Arsenal make.

My thoughts are with the Fiszman family.

RIP. A true Arsenal man and a Gooner.

While I don't like the new stadium it had to be done and Danny did it well tbh. It will earn it's history the way Highbury did and will become home to my kids' generation as they will know no other stadium. It will also be a fine and fitting tribute to the true Arsenal fan that Danny was.

Thoughts and prayers with his family and friends.

RIP Mr Fiszman a great loss to Arsenal football club.

Perhaps now with this news people might understand recent events in the history of Arsenal and Mr Fiszmans great input into the club.

Think a 1 minute's applause is more deserved so we can show our appreciation for him.

See that is a bullshit statement  There is some level of hypocrisy on here over his sad passing - some guys (not all by any means) slated the guy when he was alive and are now giving it large about how he "was a true Arsenal man"

Unveiled this morning apparently. Hard to tell but I think that's the Clock End bridge. Nice touch...

Yeah, a really nice touch. 8) Given his deteriorating illness, the club probably had plans in place already to do this on his death.
