Danny Fiszman passes away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

think they could have waited till after the funeral :?

maybe it was meant for yesterday and they couldnt change it but seems a bit morbid to me seeing as he,s only gone a couple of days.

maybe its just me

No I would agree with you there...maybe it was unavoidable but it would have been a nice touch on Sunday before the game. Or before the Villa game.

Obviously planned.
Don't think you can commission things like that overnight.

I'm also wondering whether the whole event was penciled prior to his death. Maybe he was even meant to be there?

I didnt agree with the move to the new stadium, but as we know now it had to happen. Moving stadiums is never easy, I think it wasnt so much about Highbury but the Emirates was just nothing like it in any way. But alas it needed to be done and credit to the man, from the tributes it seems he was a real club man and life long fan.

Seems he had the clubs best interest at heart in his final hours, something I'm sure many of us would find hard to do. For that and all hes done, I will always have respect for the man.

RIP

Long life fan ? By all accounts he admitted in the past that he knew nothing about football until his friend David Dein persuaded him to get involved in AFC

Well if thats true then fair enough, I actually had thought that myself but kept reading he was meant to be a life long fan so I assumed it was true.

If its not the case I wish people would stop saying it here and on other forums. He still did have the clubs best interest at heart though.

True but why so churlish? It was still nice of him to pay a tribute though. It's not like he was under any obligation to.

Agreed Highbury was the king but for me when North Bank and Clock End were made all seats it was never the same anyway ?
