North London Derby

Post by the playing mantis »

whats everyones thoughts? i for one am shitting myself, not so much that we could lose and it would hit our league hopes(its irrelevent to the title as thats long gone) but more so because as like last season i can see it as being a catylyst for spurs to get top 4 again. (and also i cant stand the media and there knubskull fans if they do beat us)

they beat us last year beating chelsea next game and went on a great run to nick 4th place form city.

this season they looked dead and buried for 4th, but it will be typical of this arsenal side to give them the boost they need to snatch 4th again.

the teams they have left to play are worryingly similar too, chelsea us , city.

spurs are a momentum team, both within games and through the season, so one win against there big rivals will be such a boost they will probably go on a run and get CL football again. (everyone on here has been saying that this season was there one shot at it, and laughing at them to make the most of it, but i have a nasty feeling they will be back in it next season, with the resultant sickening media coverage when they beat average and past it teams)

We will smash the *word censored* 5-0. Eboue hatrick, bicycle kick from Bendtner and Denilson will power in a header from the edge of the box after starting the move in his own box with a powerful tackle on Harvey Price.

Wenger will iron out twitchy in the tunnel.

Spurs supporters will conduct a spontaneous mass suicide.

I hate playing against the scum and shit myself for the few days leading up to the game, this year im more worried than ever.

Youre so right sp*rs are a momentum team if we stop them scoring in the first 20 mins of each half we have a chance. If we lose this game it will give them the boost to get 4th again

For me if we lose this game it will be the last time I watch the team play this season.

Cant take no more failure and heartache. Have been there far too many times in ONE SEASON to handle any more upsets.

I can handle not winning the league and ending up losers again (just) but I cant handle the scum doing us twice.

I wish I could say something positive but I can't see us winning.

I agree and its making me feel sick.

Going to get drunk as I can for this game. Then watch the Wenger interview when I get home just to make me more angry

This. :(

I'm not too bad at the moment because we've got Liverpool to focus on first but I always feel sick for the few days before the NLD. Sadly at the moment, their lot appear to be able to get themselves more motivated for games like this :(

So, basically Dan ,you are saying 'the next game is the most important one' and are 'taking it one game at a time'?

 What a clever, logical way of looking at things eh? A game like the NLD does tend to creep into the mind though, the nearer it gets, regardless of what games we have to play first.

Please God, let us smash them 5-0.

I can't bear the thought of us losing this one. Not because it will kill our title hopes (which are, at best, in intensive care at the moment), but because it will be a Spurs double over us for the first time in ages, and the previously mentioned momentum factor.

Lose against us on Wednesday and Chelsea on Saturday, Spurs' only European hopes will be a 5th place Europa spot.

This bunch of bottlers havent got the balls to go into places like shite hart lane, red half of mancland, red half of scouseland or into chav land and come away with 3pts :( :( They will tear into us right from the off and our lads will basically shit themselves making those scummy *word censored* all look like pele

Our best performance of the night will be from The Gooner Army who will entertain those swamp dwellers with wonderful ballads like "'61 never again" 8) 8) :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I think the Arsenal should come through and beat the Sp*rs at SHL. Just a feeling.

If we don't win the title this year, a win against Sp*rs might be our best chance to celebrate for the rest of the 10-11 season. So let's make it a good occasion if the team comes out and impresses :barscarf:

winning this game is so important, bale's already been quoted as saying having champions league football next season is essential, which hopefully means if the don't get it, he'll fuck off to spain taking modric and vdv with him, leaving the media and 'arry with only crouch to ***** themselves over
