Player ability Statistics

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Player ability Statistics

Post by 12thGooner »

Hi guys,

I am working on a statiscal software to track betting performance and odds etc.

Does anyone know where i can get a source of players ability from. Similar to what you would see in Pro Evo or Fifa. It doesn't have to be spot on , just true to itself. ie. almunia would be 2 to Van de sar 8

For anyone intersted i have found source for all outcomes detailing shots, scores and the ref, along with odds by all bookies. It can be found here.

cheers.

you might be better ripping the player ratings from online news sites as they show form which is probably better

You could try looking at fantasy football sites, you might get something like that, or at least price ratings which would show the difference between players.

cheers for the advice guys, i found a way automating a downoad for teams, players and form from here :

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/stat ... ter=&view=

by the way i tried a preliminary method and got the game against the mugsmashers at 1.5 goals for Arsenal 1.02 for the Mugsmashers with 6 shots on target for us. pretty spot on. Could be completely coicidental . Will try it again the week before the villa game.

Can you find out the DNA composition of Eboue, so that it can never be repeated?
