Mourinho

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sorry, it's my fault for even trying to engage you in intelligent debate and trying to hold you to the same standards that you seem to hold everyone else to. I should have realised that there's no such thing as debate when it comes to you. It's simply you're right, everyone else is wrong - regardless of the evidence or lack thereof - and you'll keep battering on about it, with plenty of diversions, until even the most calm, rational and fair-minded person feels like topping himself out of sheer frustration!!! :banghead: :banghead:

Well I won't be doing that again in a hurry. To paraphrase the famous saying: catch me once shame on you, catch me twice more fool me!!! (Something like that anyway  )

I didn't read the first 5 pages of this thread. So I apologize if this is redundant.

Mourinho is a proven winner who's teams rarely - if ever - suffer from that lazy, uninspired fucking play that Arsenal has been guilty of many times this season. Under Mourinho, the Emirates could become a fortress like it once was. And I guarantee you that half the players that are hated on this team would be shipped off immediately.

Helb here is Jose Mourinho's spending record at his last three Clubs

Chelsea - four years 140 million GBP*

Inter - two years 19 million GBP**

Real Madrid - one year 52 million GBP

Those numbers do not reflect the whole story as I have tossed out the 30 million GBP Shevchnko purchase(*), and at Milan he sold one player for 50.5 million GBP and still was able to acquire Samuel Eto'o

So since 2004-2005 Mourinho has spent 211 million(again not counting the Shevchenko purchase). Arsenal has made 30 million in the same time period.

The fact is that at Chelsea, at Inter and at Real, Jose Mourinho inherited very good sides that he built into excellent sides with =stablished domestic and international stars at each club with histories of recent success and ambituous transfer spending prior to his arrival and the will to support additional ambitous spending to take thos teams to greater heights.

None of the conditions he consistently works in and chooses to work in are in place now at Arsenal, and the ambition to make sweeping changes that he might be willing to try is not there either.

Youu may not like it but it is perfectly reasonable to conclude he siimply would not come to Arsenal for among other things the reasons I stated earler and now.

You can argue he might do it anyway In spite of what we knoww that argues against. But then I can keep waiting for Martha and Tish jones from Doctor Who to show up at my door because they still like to share everything just like sisters because that might happen.

I mean yes it could happen but there is about a 0.01% chance of it. There is not a realistic chance it would happen for the reasons I stated among others.

What a legend! Just beat Barcelona at their place in the Cup final!

Edit: Never mind it was at the Mestalla

It was at the Mestella, Valencia?

Although still a hell of a result for him no doubt.

Sorry mate, you had edited your post by the time I had posted.

Either way I have a sneaky feeling that over the two legs, Mourinho will get the better of Barca in the CL.
