is a legend. My dads mate knows Pat Rice and a few of the players and he owes my dad a big favour. So he thought he would try his luck and ask him to get 4 tickets to the game on saturday...and he came up trumps. couldnt believe it when i found out this morning, i cant wait. 9,000 gooners making noise

you know what? i really think if he was offered a managers job he would turn it down I even think if he was offered the arsenal job he would turn it down. Ill say what everyone knows the man is a legend. It's so quiet at the lane - its stuff like you post that warms my hart. g graham on the other hand was a runt with a capital C! my brother asked for his autograph and he turned round looked him and his mate in the eye and carried on walking!!! Pat rice seems a gentlemanCus Geezer wrote:Anyone think he might have sold himself short staying loyal to Arsenal instead of seeking a management career of his own?
My signed shirt from the 99-00 season came from little Pat. I had a business contact who really wanted to impress me. PR is one of his mates. PR got the signed shirt and tickets to the CL game against Barca at Wembley. Pat didn't ask a penny off the bloke.
I now have a terrible memory (of the game
) but a very valuable shirt cos of a generous paddy who is Arsenal to the core.
BTW my wife is convinced that PR has an MP3 player embedded cos you see le boss talikng to him but lil pat never seems to take any notice.
