I remember many a tussle with Braintree Town back in the 90's. I live in Halstead and we used to play them regularly back then. Since then Halstead have gone backwards whilst Braintree have prospered.
I also used to police The town back in those days. Fucking hate the place now as a result of that. There's plenty of decent folk over there but there is some real shite too!

So glad to hear about Braintree getting promoted. Live in Byng gardens till I was 18 then moved to London. Used to play for Braintree under 14-17's back in the day... Remember playing in the field next to the stadium and after training everyone jumping over onto braintrees pitch and having a kickabout for a bit. Try and get to the odd game whenever I pop down to see my family. Friend of myn is an aft Wimbledon fan so don't want them to get promoted to we can have a good old trip down to cressing road next year... Have they still got that snooker club on the way to Freeport if you turn left outside of the ground... By the mini roundabout??

Braintree town are a bunch of cheating thugs, even at that level......but well played I guess

Just hope by some miracle Chelmsford City can join them via the play offs! :barscarf:

Cheers Braintree, nice win Monday even though u didn't need to bother, Chelmsford should make the play offs now.....where no doubt we lose again, but at least I have some interest left in this season! 8) :evil:
