Poly Styrene

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

i've heard there are problems with the funeral - because you are not allowed to bury or burn poly styrene anymore - so it's going to have to be a recycled job

sorry poor joke

I remember buying her brilliant album (sadly they only made one good album). Original, talented and a lesson for the nonentity X Factor generation.

Taken too soon and will be sadly missed. RIP

I thought her music was shite.

But it's terribly sad that she died relatively young.

RIP Poly.

Seems only right to have you posting on this...

remember "my mind ...is like a plastic bag...." They were fantastic while they were (sounds silly but think about it)

Great band , reminds me of the Arsenal Tavern 1976/7 when they used to play punk music interspersed by the filthiest jack the rippers to have ever been born.
They used to do "extras" in the ladies toilets ,pure class they were .
All went Pete Tong one day when one of em grabbed some loons pint and gave her sagging tits a bath but spilt the drink everywhere . Loon throws a wobbler and the whole pub goes into the fight scene from blazing saddles.
One of the rippers gets knitting needle out of her bag and stabbed the loon up the arse ! Pure comedy !

Was an article in one of the papers today just remarking on the number of punk icons that are no longer with us - Strummer, McLaren, Ari Up, 3 of the of the original Ramones and now Poly.

Remember buying Dayglo on orange vinyl and Idenity on pink vinyl. Feel slightly sorry for kids these days as downloading doesn't quite compare!!
