lilian thuram

in one of the papers today it said that lilian thuram is leaving barca in the summer and could be coming to arsenal in a player-coaching capacity
what do you guys think

Could be useful as a coach, Wenger will be able to judge this so why not give him a trial period helping coach the defense?
He may even end up the next manager!

No harm in registering him as a player for a season, but if all players are fit I cannot see him getting a game unless there is a major injury crisis.

It'd be a bit like when Urinals signed Laurent Blanc, we'd be better off talking Keown out of retirement! Plus Bouldy is the ghost of defence past anyway so we little need another coach.

As far as I am aware Bould coaches the reserves, not the first team.

Thuram has done ok for Barcelona. I am not suggesting he is signed primarily as a player , but if we registered him as a player he could help out in an emergency.
