Does anyone really believe that they couldn't have found Bin Laden in the last ten years if they had really wanted to and does anyone believe that a 6 ft 5 arab with entourage and fuss, as recognisable as Bin Laden wouldn't have been noticed at some point anywhere he went in that region..

Do people not think it's a bit strange that he was 'hiding' in a very noticeable mansion just a few miles from a U.S special forces base and numerous Pakistani army bases...

I think it far more likely the U.S decided his usefulness as the bogey man figure has passed and it was time to use his death for a bit of heroic propaganda...
Don't anyone kid themselves that this is some sort of end to the 'war' on terror i'm sure soon enough a new bogey man, who of course will be a danger to the whole free world, will be created by the masters of propaganda at the pentagon....Then he can be used as an excuse for more military spending and more wars, which of course will most definitely not in reality have anything to do with oil or other resources definitely definitely not  ...
I'm not sure that the first part of this is correct but I do believe the last paragraph is oustanding.

Basically the Right Wing in America, who are the best friends the Defense/Industrial Complex could dream of has already basically turned red-baiting in to pardon the term brown-baiting, as they basically hace just replaced the word communist with the word muslim and otherwise simply continued to use the very same language and fear tactics they have used since the earliest days of the Cold War to continue to justify the corporate welfgare they provide to the the defense industry. Sickening really....

He was "hiding" right next to a Pakistani army base???? You'd have thought they must have known who was living right next to them ffs.
Next time they want aid, we should have David Cameron on film 800 yards away from a mountain of £20 notes saying "we'd love to help, but we just can't find the money"

Fuck off with tge madeline stuff

Take it none of you sick *word censored* have children of your own, otherwise you'd realise how utterly fucking disgraceful that is?

Can't imagine not knowing if my daughter was even dead or alive let alone safe.

Grow the fuck up, think about (regardless of their negligence) the parents of this little girl.

The americans do some very stupid things but faking bin ladens death. They're not that stupid.
Do those who believe he's alive not think he'd of released a taped proving he was alive by now, or even a statement.
Nah he's dead. Not sure he's in the sea though.
One thing is for sure, pakistan have a lot to answer for.

Spot on.

I think they already have Iranian president as next evil enemy of Free World (whatever that means), the only problem is that 99% of Americans are incapable of pronouncing his name correctly, so they might actually find someone else...and yes, all this shit in last 10-15-20 years has nothing to do with oil, nothing whatsoever

You have to remember that the Pakistani secret service is basically split down the middle with one half aiding and abbetting Jihadi terrorists and the other half helping America etc hunt those same terrorists. Pakistan (like Afghanistan) has a very complex socio-political make up that is based as much upon ancient tribal loyalty as it is political belief.

Those Pakistanis knew perfectly well that Bin Laden was hiding there and if they weren't actively helping him then they were at the very least turning a blind eye.

But, for reasons that DB10 outlines, there is little point in punishing or starting a diplomatic row with the Pakistani state. The officials that insist they knew nothing and that the state does not officially support terrorists might well be telling the truth.
