The greatest ever Arsenal Debut!!
Who in your opinion has made the greatest debut ever in the Red and White Shirt either coming on a sub or playing a full part?
ok granted Ian Wright made a impressive start Scoring against Liecester city and the following game banging a Hat-trick against Southampton!
Even Glenn Helder looked a good thing on a debut against Nottingham forest when he made Stuart Pearce look average
but my personal opinion
is That Paddy Vieira made the best debut any Arsenal player has made, he came of the bench turned the game on the head, just looking how much Ian wrights game changed in that game showed this Kid was on to a winner ok ok it was Sheffield Wednesday but lets be fair back then Wednesday always proved a tricky game even though we won most not many where a great margin bar this one and the 7-1 scoreline which I was ballboy for there is video footage of me as a ball in that game on youtube by the way I will dig it out later lol

Well I was there for Reyes' home debut against the Chavs, we came from 1-0 down to beat them 2-1, for the second time in a fortnight Reyes scored both with the first one bein an absolute rasper from fully 30 yds made even sweeter by the fact that it knocked them out of the FA Cup so that's definately gotta be right up there
But, I'll give it to Paddy too cos he was simply awesome that day, and in stark contrast to Reyes remained that way until he confirmed his status as Arsenal legend, a true legend he was an absolute warrior who became the heartbeat of the team with his box to box runs, I was even watchin that Premiership's Best Ever Foreigners on Sky and us and the Mancs had 3 each in the top ten Henry won it and Vieira was 6th or 7th but seein the old clips of him in his heyday had the hairs up - on his day he was unplayable, and Wednesday simply didn't know what hit them and then of course Manu arrived, what a partnership
nobody knew how to handle them and we simply blew everybody away that year - brilliant

I love that Reyes goal. Hit from all of 30 yards, and it just went in a straight line to the top corner. It was still rising when it hit the back of the net. What a strike.Belfast Boy wrote:Well I was there for Reyes' home debut against the Chavs, we came from 1-0 down to beat them 2-1, for the second time in a fortnight Reyes scored both with the first one bein an absolute rasper from fully 30 yds made even sweeter by the fact that it knocked them out of the FA Cup so that's definately gotta be right up there![]()

I just remembered . One of the greatest Arsenal Debuts ever I heard was "Chunky The Gooner" playing at Highbury in June 2006 . He was in the Arsenal away shirt playing against the Arsenal home shirts. If it wasnt for the dodgy ref as well he would have gone home a winner that day but the match finished 3-3 after they were 1-0 down at half time.
