season ticket pricing by IG

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Also, log into your membership on .com as if buying tickets and in the my account section you will see the Memberships for renewal and amount due section
Tells me the amount due is £985
Yes, you're correct. I had heard this information in the past few day and log-in. I even had my wallet and card out ready to purchase.

but....I...dunno I don't want to go ahead and pay when I'm not supposed to. I do as I'm told and no ones told me. 8)

Me plus two kids......£1,725... :o ! Throw in travel and the odd away game and that would just about wipe out my wife's part time annual salary..... She knows how much this means to me, but it's still a difficult one to argue when compared to putting the kids through university or deciding on where to go on holiday!

How many people can seriously afford that price without breaking club policy and sharing the tickets....? And Family Enclosure members aren't allowed to sell them using Ticket Exchange..... :banghead: !

In fairness though it's not the 6.5% increase that pisses me off.....it's the 93.5% that was already there! And although you can argue whether or not we are the most expensive, none of the other London clubs are far behind and the northerners would also charge those prices if more of their fans had jobs....

You read about Schalke and how German clubs relate to their fans and you think maybe the whole Premier league is wrong. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was supporting Arsenal when the real top money was earned in Italy and we still played Spuds and Utd twice a season. There were still big games and trophies to play for. English teams still competed in Europe. Ok, we had Hayes instead of Bergkamp, Groves instead of Arshavin. But regardless of who puts on the shirt, it was still Arsenal.

Sometimes I look at the whole set up and think I'd be happy to see Tezez, Fabregas, Torres etc feck off in search of their fortune and see football return to the time when you didn't need to arrange a mortgage to buy a season ticket....! The Germans, with their cheap season tickets, their drinking during the game, locally produced players, big crowds, minimal violence, succesful national team etc etc look to have proved that it is possible to have your cake and eat it....

Just went in to have a look and they mention ' a new finance offer'.
Couldn't get further than the first page. Does anyone know what this is?

What are these then?
To answer my own question, just found this;
Representative example: Cash price of ticket £2770 = total amount of credit £2770. Repayable by 10 monthly instalments of £296.32. Rate of interest is 1.245% per month (fixed) Total amount repayable £2963.20. Representative APR 15.9%.

As terrible as this is for the future of the club and the future of football i think the best "solution" would be to leave the kids behind, at least as far as the ST goes.

Not taking away from your points MK but I know this is an old chestnut on here. When reading about something else I discovered that any beer with less than 3% alcohol served on the continent is considered non-alcoholic therefore they can be served and drank in the stands in Germany.

Now carry on, the price of season tickets is scandelous.

As the 6.5% increase will generate an extra £4.5m, I look forward to my free scarf in August and my free flag in Feb/March (or December, if we are heading out the Champions League at the group stage).

What next paying to use the toilet?

:( :(
