Wenger would replaced TV5 if only he'd known

To be fair, it does appear that rather than simply being out for the whole season, Vermaelen has actually had a series of much shorter predicted layoffs and has sadly suffered repeaded set backs.

With that in mind, it's quite possible that Arsenal really did expect him back much earlier, therefore I can kind of understand why we didn't sign anyone to replace him.

I'm very frustrated, and I was in January too - but I can understand why we didn't bring anyone in.

Even for a man that talks as much bollox as wenger does I think that it is fair to say that today he has exceeded himself between declaring that he wants billy big bollix to stay and now saying that he would have bought a centre half if only he had known about tv5 :roll: :roll: :oops: :oops: :oops:

Seriously can someone tell phw and wenger to shut the fcuk up or failing that just lock them in a room together where they will never see light of day again

Absolute, 100% total bull as usual. We had a similar problem last year with injuries and true to his word Wenger did act - signing a 36 year old on a free transfer.

Let me guess who he would have signed if he had known TV5 was out for longer...

Is Stepanovs still plying his 'trade' somewhere ?

I wonder if this is a complaint aimed at the medical team for not properly diagnosing Vermaelens injury and the time he would be out. If I was in the medical team I would not be happy with this statement.

I wouldn't worry, the medical team have had a thorough look at Wenger's statement, and can find nothing wrong with it.

Still doesnt hide the fact that our defensive mistakes after the January transfer window have cost us and it could of been so different by making a signing in that position. But o well, judge me in May.....
