As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

ok granted Ian Wright made a impressive start Scoring against Liecester city and the following game banging a Hat-trick against Southampton!
Even Glenn Helder looked a good thing on a debut against Nottingham forest when he made Stuart Pearce look average
but my personal opinion
is That Paddy Vieira made the best debut any Arsenal player has made, he came of the bench turned the game on the head, just looking how much Ian wrights game changed in that game showed this Kid was on to a winner ok ok it was Sheffield Wednesday but lets be fair back then Wednesday always proved a tricky game even though we won most not many where a great margin bar this one and the 7-1 scoreline which I was ballboy for there is video footage of me as a ball in that game on youtube by the way I will dig it out later lol
My personal favourite is Paul Davis away to the **** in 1980, it was at easter in the middle of FA cup and cup winners cup semis against Liverpool and Juventus and we played a mostly reserve team back in the days when that was never really done whatever the comp. Anyhoo, our mostly reserve team proceeded to play the scum, including Hoddle, Ardiles and whoever else made up their first team at the time, off the park and Paul Davis, making his first team debut was fuckin sensational, bossed the midfield against the scum and we won 2-1. I was standing in the middle of the Paxton that day, amongst loads of ****. Had to keep on the quiet side but could'nt hide a big grin at the end A month later, in an Ostend hotel room, the night before the cup winners cup final some fucker in the next door room kept me awake for the three or fours hours I had there singing some song he'd made up about it. I know it started with "we beat spurs with six reserves" but can't remember the rest or the tune, appy days

I am really going to show my age now, and not sure if it is greatest ever but Graham Rix against Leicester in 77. I thing we all knew a leg end was born.
Might b wrong but im sure Pascal Cygan's full home debut was a 3-1 victory over Sunderland - he looked blinding! Just shows debuts mean fuck all in the long run!!!!
