Usmanov nets more Arsenal shares

Post by demzy »

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7247457.stm

An investment firm co-owned by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov has revealed it has increased its stake in Arsenal football club to 24%.

WHY does this guy persist??? We dont want you at our club!!

the scariest thing is the largest shareholder is currently Daniel Fiszman with 24.11%. If they reach 30% they have to launch a formal takeover of the club!!

He doesn't give a toss about me, you or the fans and is only looking at this from a financial perspective. It's inevitable he'll launch a takeover bid sooner rather than later. I just hope the board resist. :x

Isn't it a shame that people will not stick together anymore. There was a time when fans would have shown their protest by not turning up and the team would have played to an empty stadium with the club losing out. You couldn't do it today because there would always be some crunt with a prawn sandwich waiting their chance to fill your seat. Fans have no power in the game today. You only have to look at the depth of feeling there was in Manchester when they were selling to realise that.
Usmanov is a fat pig that will not stop until he has what he wants. he doesn't give a flying fuck about me or any of you. He is simply looking at this from a financial point of view. He knows no matter what complaints are voiced, AG will still be full and he'll still make money. Dein has a lot to answer for getting this fella involved :x :x :x

I am not sure, it doesn't say. It is only 1% in our shares. Arsenal should say who it is on the site soon

There still is. Usmanov won't be able to buy Arsenal until 2010. He can still up his shares though. Hopefully Kroenke won't sell his shares to Usmanov.

I don't think there's ever been such a time when there was such an organised no-show
