thought i had the answer back then....had just seen us get spanked at home against QPR 1 - 3 (one of a few 3 - 1 defeats that season).....wanted the manager to change this is why....had too many old experienced players not enough youth/potential, didnt pass pass pass enough had big target men only demanding the direct ball had too many tough defenders no ball players in defence....few yeas later small change of philosiphy 3 canny signings (petit vieria overmars)....champions my way of doing it that afternon after QPR was to sell seaman dixon bould schwatz jensen selly linighan parlour helder campbell smith hillier carter dickov and chris (pele) kiwomya and bring in les ferdinand, chris armstrong, juan esnaider, george weah up front mark draper andy sinton yordan letchkov ruel fox jesper bloumqvist in midfield and ken monkou and julian dicks...couldnt lose (they all won f**k all in there careers) a small tweak my friends and a few signings FINGERS CROSSED

strange how we were complete opposite 15 years ago, we thought we all had the answer...just sign all these flavour of the month players that are being banded about, maybe just a small change in outlook and a few new signings.
