RIP wearetheherd.com

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sad loss indeed.

Old boy's network, and all that. Nice bit of history, too.

Having said that, there were a fair few "cyber warriors" on there. Probably younger generation wanabees.

I did visit there occassionally. I got into an argument with somebody who posted one of those "cut your head off and put it in a box" emoticons.

Fuck me! Was I fucking scared, or what????!!!!!
Yes, I know what you mean. I do recall feeling a little nervous when a "firm" friend of mine pointed out that I had made it onto their c*nt thread for something I'd said on here.... All a misunderstanding of course  and one that I'm grateful for his help in resolving! And I did occasionally post there as I was an (un)known face who remembered watching, or running away from, most of the incidents that those guys were involved in..... 8) !

Anyway, I just wondered whether there was any chance that a "frozen" version of their stories section could be posted here - at least while their site is down. It would need to be members only of course but I'm sure would prove very popular and be in everyones interests in the sprit of holding onto this valuable archive of unoffical Arsenal history.....

I'd be very surprised if nobody re-started the Herd site.

It just needs someone with enough interest, and enough time on his hands.

I propose USMarty. :barscarf: 8)

Good God NO. The Herd site was an interesting read, I used to like to pop in and have a read of some of the stories. Shame it's gone.

Welcome to this forum Roco.

It's maybe a little bit different to what you're used to.

Our *word censored* forum is light hearted. And doesn't contain any menace. It's the way we like it.

If the *word censored* thread on the Herd site is so fucking threatening to fellow Gooners......it's probably best that it's not there any more.

Maybe this Forum could put up a sticky for members of the Herd Forum (and us) to carry on posting as if it was still up and running?
