Time To Man Up

Post by augie »

Over the last few weeks we have read a lot about supporter protests for varying reasons and in various forms to let the club, the players and the media about how immensely pissed off the majority (imo) of fans are. This Sunday see's the first such show of protest with a walk/march planned before the villa game and by all accounts this has been planned by the bsm in conjunction (unless I am mistaken) with the Arsenal FC not plc movement. This leads me to my point about this whole thread as I want to ask the members on here straight out....will you be attending this march ?

As I have said before, I sadly will be unable to attend on sunday but even though I am still not in agreement with the style of this protest I do support the principle of it and I would love to see a really really strong turnout on sunday. Over the last few months a lot has been written on here about our dis-satisfaction over wenger, over the quality of the squad, over the ticket price increases etc and I am curious to know how many plan on backing up their anger on sunday. Of course there will be people who simply cannot attend but hopefully the rest will show the required unity to make this a success.

PS - If the mods or whoever disagree with this thread then feel free to delete it - I know that technically there is already a bsm thread but I wanted a thread to focus purely on who will be in attendance

Would rather miss the match than the protest.

It's my son's 3rd birthday so didn't get a ticket for this one.

BUT - I'm gonna get along just for the march and protest. It's much too important to miss. Wenger & his limp-wristed soft little players & the Board (especially that arrogant old fool Hill-Wood) need to know how we feel.

If we don't do it now we might as well drop our soap in the showers and bend over for them for all eternity . . . . . . .

No...I don't think so...I certainly hope not....but as I have said earlier we probably began too late to really be ready for this right now, plus I think while marching is good and all and I think the group as originally conceived is less about the issues focused on by the Black Scarf Movement and so while there won't be a major presence at the march i have heard that we may be there in other ways and look forward to making our presence felt at other events more relevant to the goals we discussed on here for which a march would only be a starting point for us and I believe that would remain the case now.

I'll be there

Whether or not you agree with every point of the way it's been worded, doing something is a start and at least I can say we've tried to do something instead of sitting on our arse's hoping it'll change

Would rather just march thru the streets chanting wenger out but understand the slowly slowly approach.
Seems most on the walk are of the same opinion but biding their time aswell
