DID ANYONE NOTICE?????....

DID ANYONE NOTICE?????....

Post by Mr FINSBURY PARK GOONER »

Dont know if anyone caught the Arsenal stewards who ran to take down a young female fans "Gracias adios cesc" banner.. she was about 12 years old and burst into tears...very sad....Also noticed some other hand made signs getting censored by the clubs power that be.

Ive never ever seen such a quick Arsenal lap of "dishounor" ever...they were better of just claping in the centre circle....is it me or did Cesc and Nasri resemble two players who wont be with us next season?

Were was Almunia, I wanted to thank him for finally P***ing off.

I think all the Villa fans stayed behind to give our players stick...did anyone catch what they were chanting? it sounded funny.....

If it doesn't toe the party line it's a gonner sadly. The level of censorship at the club is a disgrace really.

Didn't stick around either but interested to hear how it went and what those who stayed behind did.

Did anyone see the banner that was being held up in the lower tier at full time (near the dug out)? Something about 3rd place?

It was quick....very quick.

Van persie walked far behind the team, to appluse.

Nicky B threw his shirt to the crowd.

Lens got good reception.

Nasri didnt really clap at all, looked to be hiding a bit.

Cesc led from the front with his usual look of dissapointment.

Wenger looked ashamed of himself.

No Almunia.

Some other players were missing also...but couldnt figure who.....there were only 19 of them out there.

Out of interest, are Arsenal breaking the law by taking down certain banners? I would have thought the right to freedom of speech would prevent them doing so? They could refuse banners with swearing, or if they said they posed a health and safety risk, but to allow some banners and then remove other ones must be against the whole principle of freedom of speech imo. Obviously they have ground rules and their line is "if you're in our stadium you will go along with our wishes or we wont grant you entry", but the ground terms and conditions are superseded by law. For instance there is a right to privacy, and AFC couldnt just put in its ground regulations that all fans need to whip their cocks/ fannies out when they come into the stadium, its against the law to require people to do that, so i dont see why another right, like the right to freedom of speech and expression should be restricted in a similar way

Always thought the same thing. I've seen plenty of banners removed that haven't been offensive, vulgar, racist, sexist etc simply because they don't toe the party line. It's like some shit from North Korea.

I stayed behind with my 9 year old.

Earlier on I caught the arrival of the Black Scarf jaunt which culminated in a good few chants going up to club level. Coupled with the half time booing and the 6% chant it felt like there was something brewing.

Around me it was mainly youngsters and teens that flocked down to the front. Upper tiers were completely empty and by the time time the players reached our end the previous parts of the ground they had been past before were empty.

It was pretty confusing really. All the playing staff seemed completely embaressed and as much as there was applause going out to them it didn't fee fullly appreciative.

More, we're applauding you because you are the team, we love Arsenal and that's not going to stop. But that's all you're getting.

Only RvP got a semblence of a decent chant from the crowd and based on how the season has panned out, he pretty much deserved it. Also seemed to be giving a fair bit of love back to the crowd.

My boy gave them all tons of shit, both during the game and after. Which was the best part of my day.E ven caught the little bollocks singing 6% you're having a laugh in the chicken shop in Kentish Town on the way home.

The excuse the club will give you is that "the banner does not have a fire certificate with it"

Should just make one that does, get one that complies completely with H+S regulations and if a steward comes up to you, just tell him it is a violation of your human rights and you're wanting the *word censored* details so you can sue him. Put in official complaints etc, just to piss them off and highlight their bullshit practice.
