Better than Walcott??
Right, im totally fed up with Walcott and think we should cash in on him...drive him up to Man City and bring back a car full of cash?!
Got me thinking last night who we could replace him with....whilst watching the Swansea game i thought about their right winger Nathan Dyer, he plays in the exact position Walcott does for us, he is quick, like Walcott...only Dyer helps out his full back, gets up and down the pitch both ways, and most importantly keeps the ball and is productive around the box!!
I know it might seem strange wanting a lower league player, but i really feel we could get rid of Walcott for millions and bring Dyer in on the cheap and he would be better!!
thoughts? or any other suggestions?

I used to defend Walcott quite a lot, but after his performance against Stoke I feel I have lost my patience with the guy.
He is affective against attacking teams where they leave space behind the full backs, and everyone knows Walcott will exploit it. But more often than not we come against teams that just want "to park the bus", and lets face it, it works- and everyone knows it, Walcott struggles to have any impact against these types of teams.
The guy can't cross! I've played on the right hand side of midfield and I struggle to see how he can't put a simple box into the danger area!
I used to fight his corner in arguments with Sp*rs mates who would say Lennon is better. But right now, id probably agree.

I'd put Song and Walcott in the list of 'bench' players.flash gunner wrote:Dont quite understand the hatred you have for Walcott Swale, dont get me wrong he isnt good enough for Arsenal but you seem blind to other players being shit as well such as Bendtner and even your beloved Song isnt good enough
Bentdner on the other hand should be on the transfer list with Eboue, Denilson & Squillaci.
Too many sqaud players and not enough quality.

ashley young for me. also feel theo has had plenty of chances and always seems to find a place to hide when the going gets tough. he will never be the player we need.
+ 1
Agree totally with swale when he says that theo is vastly vastly over-rated and imo he will never make the centre forward position that many seem to think is inevitable. Theo's whole game is based around speed and not footballing intelligence or instinct - years ago players like jug eared lineker got away with being slow cos he had instinct, smudger did well cos he had the footballing intelligence but theo has neither of these traits plus imo he isnt a great finisher either.
Of course under this currnet regime theo will never be sold cos (a) he is english in a team almost totally devoid of english players (b) he is young and will never question wenger or cause unrest amongst the squad & (c) he is very marketable so a pr dream for the club

Ashley Young is imo miles better than walnut as a footballer but I would have some concerns re his rumoured attitude flaws

You've reminded me.Mr FINSBURY PARK GOONER wrote:I personally think theo didnt have the worst season, he scored more goals then normal, and did look dangerous more then often. I still think he has loads more to come.
The simple fact is we brought him as a striker, and play him on the wing.
aka nicky B........
I mentioned this before but in a interview I think Wengers going to start to playing him upfront a bit.
Keep Theo but sign Dyer as well. Over the two legs he looked a very useful, hardworking wide man, something we have lacked for ages. Nothing wrong with signing lower league players if they are good enough and Dyer is in my opinion a prem player. Also thought Swansea V Forest was a quality match last night, one of the best I have seen in a long time.
