As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I a;so look at another much lauded young player henri lansbury who is meant to be the future of our club but is only a back up player for a small club in a lower division - how are we holding these players in such high esteem ?
I know for a fact that when any youngster at Arsenal turns pro, they are given a £250k lump sum. FACT. This is meant for a house / flat. Wenger's darlings are blowing it on cars etc.
They are also on anything between £5-10k per week, even if they are still playing for the reserves. This fosters a culture of 'big time charlies' with a real lack of effort and ideas above their station.
Man United is the opposite. You earn low wages until you break into the first team.
That sums up what is wrong with football when players like JET or Lansbury are on £10k A WEEK..... You can kind of understand Cesc or RVP getting big bucks, but when these reserve players are on £0.5m a year each then the world really has gone mad!
Makes you wonder what someone like Bendtner is on......

Funny that?
Makes perfect sense - keeps the overall wage bill down at the top end and elimainates signing qulaity new players as they won't play for teams the win nothing and pay barely more.
They figure better overpaying Denilson by 20K a week than a quality defensive midfielder what they deserve because they still save money.

Wenger's creche doing what it's good at.....
(I watched the game tonight, and I've seen elephants with a better first touch. Absolute shite he was.)
It's worse than that Frank.
Emmanuel Thomas was driving his new McLaren Mercedes when the police had to break his window to get him to stop and get out. He didn't stop because he hadn't even passed his driving test!!
A new McLaren Mercedes costs £350,000
For all the AKB's that worship Wenger because he won't pay big transfer fees - ask yourself why he rewards shite players with ridiculous contracts like this . . . . .

Do you know for a fact that this is different to any other football club in the country?
It doesn't make it right, but it would make you wonder whether you are better off to say f*ck the youth policy and then loaning out players when only a tiny percentage are going to make it, and lets just concentrate on having a strong first team squad that are all bought in experienced pro's.
