Good Riddance, Denilson makes transfer request.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

When everybody on this thread clearly feels so strongly and correctly about his lack of effort, lack of ability, lack of humility etc etc it is baffling why AW continued to play him. What can AW see that nobody else appears to?
Denilson is part of the cause of the problem but he's also a symptom of the wider malaise; players who are not good enough and don't try hard enough but think they're world class. If nothing else surely this should give the Board reason to question whether AW does know best.

Please don't dangle the carrott and take it away.
If we get cash for him it would be excellent, if we don't its some deadwood off the payroll which is also excellent.
Arsene knows

Next up Comedy and Barry. It surely must be bon fire season somewhere on this globe.

woah woah steay here fellas - whats wrong with what he is saying? He’s saying what we all know and what many of the players have already said. This season has not been anywhere near good enough. The difference is, he is ready to leave and take his chances elsewhere, presumably to win lots of shiny trophies. I suppose I could add in here that if he had played a bit better this season, perhaps we would have had a better chance to win a trophy.

Jeez, this post tells me two things. One is just how deluded and out of touch the players are, Denilshits comments are a load of b***ocks, one of the worst players in recent years to pull on the shirt. I'm sure he will set League 1 or Ligue 2 alight :P

However, it also tells me that it seems a lot more players are becoming disilusioned under Wenger, and thats probably because he pampers them and pays them more then they deserve. How long before the squad implodes I wonder?

But there is a serious point here - this goes to show how our players feel utterly un-responsible for the failings of the team. If shit like denilson thinks its everyone elses fault then what hope do we have?

Culture at the club stinks like shit, no team spirit, no fighting for the team or standing up and being counted for the failings of the team. Its all someone else's fault.

Rapidly losing my patience with Wenger's Arsenal. He's fighting just to keep it getting any worse. Can the AKBs really look themselves in the mirror and say thats what they want for Arsenal? Bit of ambition required.
Seems like everyone will be glad to see the back of this lazy loser.

But LDB has hit the nail smack on the head - the culture under Wenger now is that nobody, but nobody takes responsibility for anything. Whatever goes wrong is somebody else's fault.

Within that sentence lies the entire problem at Arsenal - they are all way too comfortable!!!!

"I think my future will be in Spain or Italy."

I'll start the car now and drive the twat to the airport myself to make sure the c*nt don't change his mind.

This is the best news I have heard in ages. Surely the deluded plank must at last have realised how much he is hated and even he can't take the shame of drawing a salary from his great contract any more.

The only negative I can think of is why is he making the call and not Wenger? Surely Wenger should have been chasing him out with a broom!!
