Best away support???

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Best away support???

Post by Tomo »

After our efforts yesterday and for a while now to be honest, which club do you think has the best away support in the country.
I would have the Mancs as first because they have a wider range of songs (old and new) and stand week in week out, with us closely behind them in second.
Am also aware that the likes of Villa have good away support aswell.
Cheers :D

As much as I hate to say it, West Ham were very good when they came to The Grove this year.

yes agreed. i was there in block 26, and they were taking the piss. There was this proper old school gooner who was giving it to them big time though, but i was a bit hungover (i think it was new years day) that i did not have the energy to join in with him. I seem to remember them singing to us , " its like a funeral its like a funeral" :D

"You can stick your fucking Ljungberg up your arse" (as Freddie went off injured) and "sit down if you love Tot*enham" in particular made me laugh!

Yeah :D i might be wrong here, but as local rivals, west ham and arsenal seem to get along rather well. my old man brought me up to hate the mugs (going back to the days of the terraces) but alot of other gooner i know don't feel the same way. Maybe i am just a mean person

Don't get me wrong, on the whole, West Ham fans really, really get on my tits. However, they do, on occasions, have their moments where they endear themselves to you a little bit. I certainly hate the Chelsea and Sp*rs mob a whole lot more!

We get on well? Upton Park, the safest ground for away fans in England (just after Millwall) :o

For the English teams West Ham possibly, Aston Villa are quite good too...Man Utd used to be good but have gone rapidly downhill in recent years.....as for their home support they were pathetic yesterday.

Worst would be Wigan/Fulham/Reading/Blackburn...fucking shambolic away support.

"We hate tottenham more than you" made me laugh.

But what was the deal when they were pretending they scored, and celebrating. Then after their 3rd pretend goal, singing "2-0 and you fucked it up
