compentsation

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

compentsation

Post by burns718 »

antone remember a few seasons back when newcastle where shit against charlton the players paid the fans back the money they spent on their tickets

i think that we have every right to demand the same (i know we wont)

if you went to a Pink flyod concert and s-club juniors performed you'd get a refund

i couldn't agree more. the fans must have spent near a million quid surely if you count the tickets, the travel, the booze :D plus a few other expenses.

If the clubs were to pay back the fans for being shit when they play bad then Spurs wouldnt have made any money since 1961

IF THEY WON'T SPEND MONEY ON PLAYERS I'M NOT SURE THE CLUB WILL GO AS FAR AS COMPENSATION FOR THE FANS!!

HOWEVER I USED THE NEW 'CONTACT THE CLUB' MECHANISM ON ARSENAL.COM TODAY IN WHICH I REQUESTED THAT SOMEONE MAKE SURE WENGER AND THE TEAM READ THE TWO ARTICLES WRITTEN ON THE ONLINE GOONER TODAY. THEN MAYBE THEY WOULD KNOW JUST HOW THE REAL FANS WERE FEELING ABOUT YESTERDAY'S RESULT!!

the club couldnt give a shit about the fans. my old man, his mate had been a regular for 40 years and had a season ticket for 20 years, but he gave it up this year because the club care about him just as much as they do about some johnny come lately who has jumped on the bandwagon.

Could'nt agree more mate, the 9000 who went should be compensated by the players then they might realise that even if the manager thinks the domestic cups are beneath the club then the fact that we get fucked over in both by our two most hated rivals *DOES* fuckin matter to the fans. OK, I accepted the scum game in the micky mouse/beer cup coz the poor fuckers hav'nt done anything or beaten us for so long that they'll get a tad excited at even the faintest whiff of any kind of minor success but to let it happen again a few weeks later is totally unacceptable. Wenger's attitude to the FA cup has obviously filtered through to the players now and they think they can stroll through a game against a team as good as the mancvermin. Well we can't or what happened yesterday will continue to happen. It only takes a good result for AC Milan on weds and we've just got the league to go for and from yesterdays performance we'll fuckin blow that too and if that happens we'll all be wishing for a day out ay Wembley in May. I accept that the league cup is a write off nowadays but to treat the FA cup with the same disdain is criminal and some silverwear in whatever comp is better than none. I really hope that somebody from the club reads this and other Arsenal fan sites and reports back coz this aint fuckin good enough. I don't ever want to see an Arsenal team play away to one of most hated rivals and not give a flying fuck about it, whatever the competition. Wake the fuck up Wenger and please don't give the the "mental tiredness" or "physically drained" shit. They're all young men in their early 20s for fucks sake. I'll get more "mentally stressed" at work tomorrow taking stick from fuckin wankers who don't even follow football

yeah its a good idea and it makes sense but just cant see it happening.

1. what would the players say if its deducted from their wages?

2. how will the message be put across?
