Groves v DeGale Saturday Night

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Has the fisting in the ring finished yet, if so who won?

LOL did anyone see De Gale think he won it, when Jimmy Jnr said the winner and still unbeaten, De Gale went to celebrate and then realised hold on a minute Groves is still unbeaten

not a classic, but I think Groves just deserved it, clearly a rematch will be on the cards

Yeah saw that, can't stand the *word censored*. Should of had points deducted anyway.

Groves edged it throughout.

Great link Rosie - thanks. 8) Alas, it was a poor fight and neither boxer can be considered genuine world class in my opinion. Mind you, the way boxing is nowadays, almost anyone can become a champion of some sort.

James DeGale, Deluded, Southpaw, Arsenal-Supporting (grrr) Olympic Champion from the London Borough of Brent. He sounds like someone familiar

Well done Groves, had it 115-113 to him :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Good work Mr Groves.
Backed ya at 11/4.

Also wiped the smile off that cocky tossers face aswell.
(Also didnt realise that Groves was undefeated :D )

Fucking GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Question is "destined to fail".....where's the money eh????? SHOW ME THE MONEY

Seriously though, I had George winning it by 3 rounds. He fought the perfect tactics for degale and fought on the backfoot, and degale really had no answer, he just couldnt seem to open him up.

Look forward to a rematch in the future, but one thing is for sure, it wont be for a while. I think the reception chunky got spoke volumes.

By the way he says he's a gooner, but was down qpr claiming to be a fan a month or so back, dont think he even knows himself.

WELL DONE GEORGEY BOY!!!!!! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

anyone up late, bernard hopkins vs jean pacal on in half hour, is very good feed on

http://boxingguru.eu/gurutv2.html

still buzzing after goerges win, so gunna stay up rather than watch it in the morning.

If Hopkins wins he becomes the oldest world champion ever, beating george formans record. I think he'll do it...on points.
