PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES

Post by Pierre32 »

Please can fellow on-line Gooners post dates/details of our friendlies over the summer..I haven't seen anything confirmed yet.

Are we off to the far East at all or has that fallen by the wayside after coming 4th?

I guess the CL qualifier will be in mid August & then the end of August.

Grateful for any info.

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm just dying for a trip to Austria. I hear that they have some good up and coming sides in the Austrian Bundesliga Divisiono Four.

No Austria this year as President Kroenke and Special Agent Gazidis are sending us on a relationship building misson in Asia.

Special Envoy Mutley is going over there early doors to check out the local 'hospitality'.

This is correct. We are going to China and playing a single game in Shanghai.

Get your flights booked now.

I'm a sucker for the pre-season friendlies actually. Poland last year was great & Germany the year before too. Both were hot as fuck, nice to get away for a few days. I'm hoping there's still gonna be at least one friendly on the continent this summer...

We are also planning to send a reserve side to Glossop North End to celebrate their (and ours) 125th anniversary due to our historic ties with them. No date as yet as it is all dependant on rebuliding of their clubhouse they are undertaking this summer.

Ok if you are a Manchester based Gooner.

From digging around it seems we are off to Kuala Lumpur and Guanzhou in Asia for friendlies, also rumour has it we have a game in Cologne the Saturday before the Emirates Cup and another game in Lisbon against Benfica the following Saturday.
