As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Jokes aside the more the club force the fans out of the club the more this favours starting an A.F.C Arsenal type club. (for example)
Fans that already have, and those that will soon become, more disillusioned by Arsenal FC will naturally have an intrest in a 'fans' club. For others , and some whom already, want a throw back to the 'good old days' would have a reason to attend and support a football team run as a real club.
AFC Wimbledon avarage gates of around 4,500 a week. I'm sure an AFC Arsenal would get more if properly set-up!
With Arsenal season tickets cost £900+, for a fraction of the cost you watch some better football.
40,000 on the waiting list and however much reds and silvers.
The more Arsenal keeps detachings itself with the fans the more it loses and promotes and feeds a new club.
Unless the Arsenal wake up soon an AFC Arsenal could well be on the cards and be the death of the club.
AFCW started in large numbers around late May 2002, even at the speed they set up the Ryman league denied them entry. So anyone who wants to set this up must expect to start at the lowest possible level.

This is true...
But I'm not entirely sure without a catalysing event that enough would come; for example the BSM march only got around 400 despite heavy publicity.
The way I see it, some people believe that this coming season most of all will be make or break for Wenger and the club. If the club slips down the table because the problems are not addressed and the board alienating the fans further, then by this time next year this will will probably have some serious backing.
Of course I'd consider this only as a last resort if the above continues to happen. If by chance the squad is invested in, starts playing to win and not just for beautiful football and the board tries to mend ties with the fans then we might not need to worry, but planning for the future isn't a bad idea. So no reason why we can discuss an AFC Arsenal and get a plan in place.
Much prefer to call it Royal Arsenal or The Arsenal mind.
