You've ruined my evening.  :banghead: :banghead:

I have nightmares about that guy playing vs Liverpool at Anfield last year and TV5 having cover both CB and LB just cover how bad Traore was playing. :banghead:

TV 5 can play left back.

Get in two big bastard CB's and with Sagna at right back - we'd no longer be a bunch of pussy's at set pieces.

Match against Brum - went down in my estimation.
But since night v Spunks have never forgiven Clichy

Cheerio!

Thanks for the shit crosses, brain farts, calamities, terrible attacking play, lack of concentration at crucial times.

Nice bloke, but won't be missed on the pitch!

due to his predecessors antics Gael was the one player that i think we all wanted to suceed.

over the last few years he has gone from a standout performer to a senderos type player, one that you know at some point in the game is going to make a basic error, you just hope its not going to prove costly.

i honestly cant see him improving, we can do better.

Clichy has been stagnant in terms of development and performance for the last 2-3 seasons, if not declining. However, I think 5.5m is a bit low for a starting XI leftback with a good reputation and a lot of experience - fullbacks aren't exactly a dime-a-dozen.
I never said Clichy was better, he isn't. And I rate Baines, but he's not an awful lot better than Clichy. He cant even break into the England squad and guys like Warnock and even Gibbs have been picked ahead of him.
I'd take Baines in a heartbeat. He plays almost every game and from the bit I've seen of him, works hard. Being chosen for international duty isn't a great marker of talent anyway; besides, not being included in a team that fails constantly might actually be a sign that maybe he SHOULD be in the England team :P

I think Baines would be rejuvenated in an Arsenal shirt and I think he'd become a fan favorite quickly.

I always like clichy but agree totally that it is now time to say goodbye but for 5.5m ?? I dont fcuking think so :x Ashley young has 1 year left on his contract and I can say for certain that he will cost far more than 5.5m and he is no more an established international than gael is. I always feel that we basically give away our players for fcuk all (unless citeeh are buying of course  )

Every club raped the fuck out of Chelsea for cash.

And we let Cashley (who was the best left back in the world) go for about 5 million and Billy who they were trying to offload anyway

I think you should wait for the official news before we start celebrating!

I have a feeling Denilson might be persuaded to stay... :banghead: :banghead:

No loss. He has been pretty poor for a few years now tbh. Unfortunately I don't get the feeling Gibbs is gonna be the long term solution either. Seems fragile both physically and mentally... :?
