Patrick Vieira to return as a coach??
There is a report in the Daily Mail today saying that Man City will not be offering Patrick an extension on his contract and that he may be offered a coaching role at Arsenal.
I know this is probably paper talk but this begs the most obvious question since neanderthal man looked at a chicken and thought "I wonder what that tastes like?" :-
Why isn't Patrick (one of the finest ever players) already employed in a coaching / motivational role??
I cringe when I see the lack of effort and lack of "football intelligence" in so many of our current squad, even more so when you think of the wonderful ex-players we've got (Vieira / Keown / Bergkamp) that should be spending their days at London Colney teaching our lot -
How to defend
How to dig in when a game isn't going well
How to keep focused at squeaky bum time
How to intimidate the opposition
So what do fellow Gooners think? Good idea or leave the past in the past?

Vieira coming in as a coach or motivator would be a great idea but very unlikely to happen under the Fuhrer....
As has been said a million times before on here, he doesn't want strong characters around him he wants total control and possible dissenters are a no no....
So i think we can forget about the likes of Adams or Vieira ever having any kind of coaching role while he is at the helm, regardless of how much sense it makes or how desperately needed characters like theirs are...

Yawn!
Same story as last summer.
Wenger will say he is considering it. People who think he was the first captain of Arsenal will cream their pants. Misty eyes Arsenal fans will then decree that "he could still do a job for us" and then nothing of come of it at all as he goes to an Arab team (though not in Manchester) or America.
No news here.
