Team of the decade? Bit odd doing it in 2011 like, so they are talking from 2001 onwards. Hmm, well I'm afraid Schmeichel was considerably better than Van Der Sar, Adams was better than Terry (although I accept he left Arsenal in 2002 and thus they might be considering him to be on the decline by the time this poll started), Ferdinand for me is better than Vidic, and Henry is not only better than Drogba, but he would have complimented Shearer better. I'd actually be tempted to put Vieira in ahead of Gerrard as well- him and Scholes would have been an immense partnership whereas I'm not convinced that Gerrard would have been as effective had he had to constantly be the more holding player due to Scholes's attacking instincts.

Sorry mate, I seem to have the same "concerns", but I was typing my post whilst you posted yours.

The past decade so I'm assuming the last 10 seasons (01/02-10/11), although whether you just have to have appeared in that decade (making Schmeichel and Adams absolute certainties imo) or whether you need to have played in most of the years (raising serious questions over Vidic) I'm not too sure. Either way there are a few strange choices in there

Shearers in it but aye, there are some cracking players left out. Difficult to choose just 2 when you have the likes of Shearer, Drogba, Zola, Henry, Bergkamp and Jon Stead all in contention

I blame the alcohol

I forgot Zola who I enjoyed watching play. What about Vieira, Solckjaer, the unamed football player(Giggs), who scored goal of the millenium?

Henry's the obvious one missing he should be ahead of both Shearer and Drogba....Bergkamp ahead of Giggs...Also at least one of Keane or Vieira would be in that team...Cole's a definite but the other three defenders are highly debatable, if we are talking about the last ten years, as has been mentioned already Ferdinand would be way ahead of Vidic as would the highly under-rated Carvalho and of course Adams would be ahead of Terry.

This team is just so wrong on many levels  How can Keane, Vieira and Henry 3 of the top foreign imports into the PL not be considered in the team of the decade :?
