Manchester United are known for their gloryhunting because 1 in 5 people in the Uk support them.
You said that you used to live in London, you must notice the ridiculous amount of people walking around wearing Manchester United stuff when they've never even been to manchester.
My mate for example who 'Supports' Man u has never even been further North than Birmingham, and tells me that he hates the manc accent.
He'd never heard of the Munich Disaster,
He dont give a shit about them until they win when he then rubs it in peoples faces.
And when I ask him why he supports man u he says 'because my aunty (who he has told me he's never met) lives in manchester.'
Its because of the HUGE amount of these types of fans that you get you reputation.
