Moderating influence? On this place?SWLGooner wrote:Was this really worthy of a topic? You could've just PM'd him if you had a problem with it but putting up a thread calling him out is a bit aggressive from someone meant to be a moderating influence...

Take a look at the list of reprebates they get to oversee the going ons round here and post that sentence again.

The mods on here exist to keep the place tidy. Other than Mike and Kev the rest are just like us and can post anything they like.
Moderating influence.

Re: Mikeyb
Sorry Chippy but I've reopened this thread because I've been out all day and need to respond to mickeyb....
Why didn't you say young players rather than children?
I read three posts of yours this morning and all three had references in some way to Wenger and kids. Not young players, but kids or children. Seems more than just an innocent or purely observational comment to me.
And I don't know where or when I've ever told you or any other gooner that they couldn't moan, or worse, to fuck off and support spurs, so that's just a straw man retort done out of desperation or guilt.
By all means moan about the lack of experienced players in the team, but to continually couch your criticism in terms which elude to 'kid loving' - especially given the accusations Wenger has had to put up with - is not only embarrassing and tasteless but also out of order, especially coming from a so-called fucking gooner!!!

There you go - you've just proved my point!!! Children?mikeyb772001 wrote:I Hate Hleb wrote:Do you think you can stop the sinister kids references about Wenger on almost every post you make? You seem to take almost as much pleasure out of mentioning it as any Spud fan would and people that didn't know different would think you're on a wind-up or an opposition fan.

How is it sinister? Other people have also made similar jokes on many of the threads. I am only pointing out the obvious that the man loves youth players and acting the father figure as he cant cope with dealing with real men.
Yeh I am just like a spuds fan… Maybe because I dare moan I should fuck off down the road and support spurs?
I am sick of us signing children and spending the last 6 fucking years obsessed with his fucking youth project. Going on to the 7th year and he is still talking about signing youth players.

I've told you before: if you have any problems with my moderation than complain to gooner.ed. Now you might be okay with the constant kiddies references mikeyb has been making (in jest or not), or perhaps you've not noticed them. But I for one am not okay with those kind of comments constantly popping up and think he should desist. Therefore I've told him straight and upfront to stop them.SWLGooner wrote:Was this really worthy of a topic? Well I'll give you fair warning then mikey: If I see any of your posts from now on which I believe are deliberately worded in a way to imply Wenger 'loves kids/children' but in an unhealthy way, then I will automatically delete them, okay?
So if you don't want that to happen, be a bit more careful with how you word your criticisms of Wenger's youth policy.

Most of mikeys posts refer to the type of player we sign being so young( ie- not PL experience ready) that wenger gives them happy meals.
That is quite clearly a joke and calling them kids goes hand in hand with the happy meal thing.
Jesus, have you got nothing better to do than tell people what style of humour to post, it's hardly that offensive when put that way.
I find reading this forum on my iphon irritating as fuck whenever you post because of the 9 emoticons you use after every sentence because the page takes an extra minute to load them but I haven't started a special little thread about it.
