How true, the latest posts, put some perspective on him.
Mr Gallas is a very talented but flawed individual.
Threats to score own goals @ chelsea, forced his move, was it wengers fault he sat down and cried on the pitch, like a baby? Yes that was the start of the decline of Clichy, but would you see Tony adams, Vieira even Cesc Fabregas balling like that? That was no way any player let alone the team captain to behave.
I understand Cesc's fustrations he's seen it all, waited and waited and finally snapped. But Gallas was as selfish person and 100% glad he is gone.
Dont get me wrong i know he's a *word censored*, but ...........

Was just going to post something very similar to this.1989 wrote:I'm sorry but Gallas was a fucking loser too. I will never forget his antics at Brum, embarrassing twat. Don't tell me this guy was any different from the rest, he was just as big a bottler/loser but with a big mouth. He would blame all and sundry without looking at himself first. I remember the c**t bottling aerial challenges/ 50-50's etc and he never put his body on the line for the club.donaldo wrote:Gallas was stripped of the captaincy and then bombed out of the club for saying what most of us on here have been saying for years. He told the truth about Wengers precious bunch of losers.
Gallas was poor for us, on the whole, well below the standard we require.
I am a Koscielny fan, he needed to be slowly introduced to the game really but I think he will become a top top player for us in time. Much rather have him than Gallas.
Even selfish pricks tell the truth, and the truth is the new wage structure either set by the Board or heartily approved by the Board was designed as purely a cost-cutting measure that increased the clb's profitability and share price because it eliminated our ability to sign the kind of players we need to be signing who are almost universally on wages we are simply unwilling to pay accept ahead of selling players as in Thierry Henry's case and almsot certainly in Cesc Fabregas's case.
But what this really does is limit transfer spending because if won't pay Franck Ribery the 100K a week he earns you don't have to pay Bayern Munich the 20 million they want, you can pay a lesser winger 65k a week and his club 8 million - and still say with a straight face there is more money to spend knowing you'll never have to spend it, and that as long as you have a manager content to make 6 million year to win nothing and work in tis set-up you'll never be held accountable to prove the validity of what you say if you are on the Board and insist money is available to spend you never intend to spend.

If Wenger is totally innocent of all goings on at the club why does he stay and keep getting undermined year after year ruining his once untouchable reputation? Surely a man of such high morals would have told the board to fuck off by nowUSMartin wrote:Even slefish pricks tell the truth, and the truth is the new wage structure either set by the Board or heartily approved by the Board was designed as purely a cost-cutting measure that increased the clb's profitability and share price because it eliminated our ability to sign the kind of players we need to be signing who are almost universally on wages we are simply unwilling to pay accept ahead of selling players as in Thierry Henry's case and almsot certainly in Cesc Fabregas's case.

I don't think he's totally innocent and have said as much. He clearly has chosen either to simply take his big paycheck and do what they ask, or has decided that it is the Board's money - in effect - he has no right to to tell them how to spend it. Either way he still is complicit in the policies set.flash gunner wrote:If Wenger is totally innocent of all goings on at the club why does he stay and keep getting undermined year after year ruining his once untouchable reputation? The question is would these be the policies if the Board did not eitehr initiate or give their tacit approval to them, and perhaps more importantly if they had not removed Deavid Dein from the Board, as he could make a case for higher spending that the Board could not and would not just ignore until not spending was in their personal financial interest.
Point being if it is still in the Board or now Stan Kroenke's interest to maintain the current finanical policies what will change under any manager?

Right, positive hat on now.
The Board quite clearly stopped the spending a few years ago. A good few reasons for that. New Stadium, Chelsea, financial crisis, wanting to get a good profit when they sell up ( which of course they did ), whatever reasons.
I think Wenger was told this and accepted that he wouldn't be given a huge transfer budget for a few years because he himself had a dream that he could build a team from scratch, with only players that he had found and especially selected.
All well and good so far. New Stadium coming, more money generated with the Highbury flats, and a plan in place for the team which was so cunning that it might just work. ( and a lie in place to appease the fans ).
The only problem with it was that the plan for the team had flaws in it, and his luck ran out, imo.
Anyway, now the 'old' Board have got what they wanted ( money ) and they're gone.
Now, NEW START. What do you reckon the chances are that Kroenke has realised the dream is over and also sees that he has to invest this summer?
I'm thinking it's pretty obvious that we need investment on the player front, as everyone is saying it... press, fans, even the players. It's clear from the accounts that the money is there. Is it possible that Kroenke/AW will surprise us all and really go for a few huge signings? And I'm talking Benzema, Benaglio, dare I say it...Hazard? Plus a few defenders and ship out a bit of dead-wood.
Was quite encouraged with Liam Brady's little positive words today about the chances of some money being spent.
I am trying to be positive. The 'bad Board' is all but gone. Long Live The New Board?
