Carl Jenkinson signs....

F*cking ridiculous that some on here use the signing of Jenkinson and (still potential?) Chamberlain as yet another excuse for a Wenger bash!

Neither will address the problems of last season as I expect them to both go out on loan or reserves plus odd Carling Cup appearance. They are excellent investments though - and English!

If anyone can provide the link though to the announcement from Wenger or the club that this concludes this summers transfer business then please do so......

Otherwise, lets please comment on this signing for what it is.....

There is a long long time left in this transfer window yet, get on his back at the end if we aint made any massive signings, not with this long to go. The majority of players are on there holidays so nothing will begin to happen until around July time you would have thought

Good signing as we've got no cover in right back position except Eboué. He's 6ft1, he's a gunner, and seems like an good player. Of course he's only 19 and lacks of experience but just like the Wilshere and Szsenzczny before the season started and they did very well.

Now I hope there will be other signings with more experience (defensive midfielder and/or center back, left winger, ...).

What makes me an A.K.B? People on here are becoming so anti Arsenal it is unbelieveable, im delighted that we have signed a gooner, a young English talent. I will be even more delighted when we complete further business in this transfer window. Just because Liverpool have spent £20 million on Henderson, United £17m on Jones, it doesnt mean to say that Arsenal have to spent £15m for Jenkinson to be a good signing.

There will be more to come

He is young, English, importantly a true gooner :barscarf: what more can you ask for.
Also most of our young reserve players are not great, so why not, he is certainly not the big signing that we need but still a great one.

It's a watch this space signing and can't be knocked, look at Smalling, straight out of non league, a handful of games for Fulham and goes to United for a massive fee given his zero experience and didn't look out of place.

Not upset by this at all, gutted about Jones though.

Nah not really son. That's why I asked.

Sack Wenger, is that clear enough you patronising little shit.
:? Calm down, son. Is that realistically going to happen though? So surely strengthening the squad is the best viable option at the moment?
Do you really think that with cesc and nas likely to leave, we will begin next season with a stronger squad than we did last?
FFS wake up and smell the shite all around us.
And do you seriously think anything will change as long our Board(of which Stan Kroenke was and is a member) view Arsenal sollely as in vestment vehicle and they can push the share price up so long as we remain top-four?

Supporters lioke you need to wake up and realize the club has been betrayed by those trusted to run it. Stop pretending the Arsenal Way and Arsenalk board that deceptively claim to project it are bigger than Arsenal. Since we destroyed the best sinde in England if not Europe after 2004 the Board has made about 400 - 500 million pounds selling the club they ran solely as an act oif love and loyalty (so they said).

Supporters who blindly ignore this are as much at fault as those greed-driven Board members if they continue to pretend otherwise. As long as you continue to give them cover the Board and Mr. Kroenke will reward your loyalty by doing more of the same because you make it possible.

Maybe when supporters wake and smell what the real site here is we can do something to try and fix things.

First off it was sid's post I responding to and second why is it okay to slag Arsene Wenge aloner and pretend this is solely down to him being some stubborn crazy bastard who somehow has terrorized the Board in to keeping him on against their will and letting him run the club how he wants against their will.

If you genuinely want a problem solved looking at something else and pretending that is the real problem isn't a solution it's taking the easy way out.

Sid, Augie one and the same ;)

Because the board didn't tell Wenger to sign Jenkinson, did they?
