As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I thought this shit only happened on deadline day when people claiming to be taxi drivers text crap in to Sky and the BBC about seeing various players in airports!
Bloomin' typical manure sign 2 players straight away so they can get them up to speed ready for their pre-season and WTF does wenger do!?....buy sausage in batter and chips in The Arsenal Fish Bar! FFS!
So Manure will buy qulaity players like Young and Jones.
and then.....
Manchester United could again steal a march on Arsenal with the signing of Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
After pipping the Gunners to the signature of Blackburn defender Phil Jones, Sir Alex Ferguson has set his sights on the latest Saints academy product.
In the January transfer window, reports suggested Oxlade-Chamberlain was set to join Arsenal in a £10m move .
But following a stunning performance against United in the FA Cup, the Red Devils joined the race for the wonderkid.
No deal was done but it appears the Old Trafford club are in pole position to land the England Under-21 winger.
Southampton appear to prefer the structure of United's deal, with the majority of the £10million fee coming up front, whilst Arsenal's is more incentive based.

not before entering long hard-fought negotiations with the fish bar to get the price down to £2.40p and then waiting the rest of the year until the chips are cold and getting it for free out the trash

Waste time with the kids , midgets, geriatric has beens and French speaking Africans that played for Congo under 12’s in August!
Notice how that old *word censored* talks bollox during May. When we pay our money the *word censored* goes quiet and keeps on trying to sign youth fucking players

Once the myth about Wenger being the best to develop youth goes (and it is a myth) and players dont want to join him there is very little left for Mr.Knows
If United want him they will get him, its so drawn out that I expect them to get him aswell, if the club rate him so highly then it should have been done yesterday or the day before, as with Smalling if your targets get made public then other clubs will start looking.
The time in which we take to conclude deals is scandalous.

The youth players that we have heard of don’t give a fuck about Arsenal. Jones, Chamberlin, Hazard, Lukulu, Neymar go to big clubs with ambition.
Even spurs beat us to players now.
So we fighting for a league title and the champions league final. We sign a right back that we have been after for MONTHS that cant even make the Charlton first team. He will however fit right in with Arsenal

The time in which we take to conclude deals is a FUCKING DISDRACE!.
Ditto!
It's also part of wengers strategy to say'We tried to sign players but were outbid etc'...remember what happened with Alonso and with reina....

Look at Villa this year, Downing's been there best player by a fucking mile, yet I bet if we went after him you'ld moan. Young's incredibly inconsistent as a footballer, and is as much a risk as Hazzard in terms of making a step up.
Great post, agree 100%. When he's on it, he's a great player, but he isn't consistent by any stretch of the imagination. Mid-way through the season a lot of Villa fans were on his back because he'd done nothing for about 3 months. He's not a bad player, don't get me wrong, but let's not act like he's the answer that's been staring us in the face for the last couple of seasons and are going to miss out.
I would take downing or young and really think they would be more influential than Nasri. We need a natural wide player badly.
I think Young has it in him to be great, he is a gooner so that will fuel his work rate big time. Young is a proper gooner by the way, he used to be a die hard fan.
