The other night Collins was doing a section on footie ticket prices and wondering how the hell ordinary supporters can afford to go. A chap called Dan called in, lifelong Gooner, ST holder at Highbury (I thought it must be our man Dan85 but it appears not!) and said that he was forking out around £1200 for his ST. Anyway, he'd hit on tough times and couldn't afford to renew for next season and asked the chap on the phone if they could help him out eg maybe going to a cheaper seat or changing his membership temporarily etc. He said that the chap on the phone's reply was ' There's nothing we can do for you but thank you for your support over the years.'
So next time you hear one of those toffee nosed twats in a posh suit in the purple leather seats say that supporters are important to Arsenal Football Club please shove a prawn sarnie in their gob and tell them to go fuck themselves
