Is there only me who thinks he looks good, Very fast and very skilfull,

As for the people who think we have enough attacking midfielders are you serious,

Nasri - Possibly / Probably Leaving
Arshavin - Past it
Walcott - Possible most over rated player in world as he cant pass, shoot and definatly not cross,

I think gervinho looks like a good signing and for a roumered 12million looks like a bargain to me

We do not need any more average few-season wonders from French football. We need fucking EXPERIENCED WINNERS. If he does sign, why should any of us believe or trust what Wenger will say about him. It seems to be yet another example of buying a player that fits the price and wage bill rather than what we actually fucking need.

Youw ant an experienced winger? Who? There's hardly any such thing as there legs are fucked.

This guy is hardly inexperienced. As I said, he's a good age, and he knows how to play on the wing in a 3 up front.

And Irish Gooner, Chamberlain is completley seperate. And I'm very itnerested to hear what makes up call Gervinho inexperienced crap. Is it that he's only played at one world cup finals?

People wont be fucking happy will they

exactly name me an experienced winger.

Arshavin.. :(
Ribery?? Wages and Cost.

Wingers who are 'IN':

Sanchez (30M) , Nani, Afellay, A.Johnson, Di Maria , Nevas etc, most are young, prospects even, but they're pacy and gutsy.

If we talking about experience then Yes, in midfield and @ CB we're desperate for experience

, But the quality attacking players are relatively inexperienced. You wouldnt turn down a striker like Falcao would you?

We're desperate for quality, but are people so blinded with rage they cannot see that we have woeful wingers, one quality striker as well as having a wonky, decrepit defence.

If he's that good, why ain't Real Madrid, Barca, United, Inter etc kicking down Lille's doors to sign him ? Same as Chamakch last year, hardly queuing round the block we're they :banghead:

they are all after Alexis Sanchez...for 30M pounds.

We've got to be realistic, we cannot compete with inter, barca and real in financial firepower. Debts need to be paid.etc

But what we can do is be competent, and buy the players in positions needed.

Chamakh is sh1te, i accept, but he cost £0, so Gervinho must be 12x better (maths fail).

Wenger used to be able to find gems, but now who knows, his recent transfers have been poor. But at least he isn't saying there is no-one better than what we already have. :barscarf:

Personal terms agreed is the rumour, fee set to be agreed within a day or two.

"Meh" is the reaction from me. Totally indifferent on this one.

I actually watched Alexis Sanchez play in Canada! It was during the U-20 World Cup, for Chile. Damn he stood out, he was crazy talented. Not surprising he's gotten even better.

Anyway as for Gervinho, he could prove to be a quality signing. Guys like di Maria weren't exactly household names before they moved, but are doing fantastic now. I agree AW has had a poor run of transfer bargain finds, but Gervinho might be pretty good.

Just get him fucking Hazard to play with pleeeeeeease.

Spot on Duffman, the club has no concept of time when trying to buy a player, its no wonder that other clubs get in first.

Well, with Freddie he had just single-handedly destroyed England, so everyone wanted him, iirc. Most teams in England anyway.

With PV4 he was already a 'name' in Europe, and I can recall Ajax wanting him as well as The Arsenal, and a few Italian teams as well.

Although AW ( and DD ) did get them to The Arsenal, so credit where credit is due.

Lauren was a great signing, although relatively expensive for a right back, as was Sagna, actually. Expensive, I mean.

i don't remember any of the clubs you mention queuing round the block when we signed dennis bergkamp, thierry henry or robert pires as well.

and if that's not strong enough an argument, then i don't know what is.
