There are no rumours about Mertesacker joining Arsenal these days...
I don´t know how slow Samba is, but Mertesacker had his worst season and I doubt he will find his form at Arsenal, where is no defense coaching at all :banghead:

Samba failed at a trial session at Hertha BSC Berlin some years ago, did you know :?:
Ya Ya Toure failed one at Arsenal

And on pure footballing terms, cant see why we’d want him anyway. Mid-table (Fulham-ish) player at best, surely? :?

I thought Yaya Toure got impatient because he would have not been granted a work permit to play for us at the time of his trial and would have to spend a couple of years at Beveren or what have you until he could accrue enough international caps or get an EU passport, so he went off to Metalurg Donetsk to seek his fortune.

I read that somewhere, I can't remember where so it maybe pony.

Maybe they are "enquiring" as to when he is going to pick up the rest of his shit from his old locker at London Colney!!!

I actually think Larsson would be good as a squad player - free, genuine wide man, and we need wide men!
As long as we stay clear of Madjid Bougherra!!
