right!!!

No way is he good enough... Small , lightweight, and not good enough for spuds.

If it was Bent then yes but no way the midget

Yeah I heard we were trading Denilson for him as well. If it gets rid of Denilson I dont care who this guy is

In my opinion Bent is way over-rated and Defoe is by far the more clinical striker.

Don't think this transfer is going to happen but I remember suggesting Defoe as a signing about 3 or 4 years back, arguing that he was another Ian Wright in terms of sharpness in the box, and was slaughtered by the rest of the forum. :banghead:

i would of agreed with you back then. I think his choice of clubs have destroyed him and he is past his best now.

Could of been a great striker but sadly i dont think he ever will now

FFS what evidence has anybody got to suggest that theo is a striker much less one that is good enough in that position (or any position for that matter) for the top level ? :? Please do not mistake speed for talent.....theo has speed but more often that not he runs up blind alleys and has absolutely nothing else in his locker except speed  Defoe is a natural goalscorer and has the goals record to back it up and is a striker that comes alive in the penalty box and we have nobody like that at the mo

spot on mate. There is nothing 'natural' about Theo other than his speed and much like Diaby, I really don't think he has the brain to be a top footballer. Not if his displays for us are anything to go by anyway.

Gervinho four year deal. Announced tomorrow or Monday.

PV4 coming back in a coaching role.

Samba and Cahill talks both in very advanced stages.

Defoe wastes a lot of changes and gets caught offside a lot, my mate at work is a ST holder there, he has been slating him all yearn as not being good enough, I agree that if we are gonna go for Defoe then we may aswell give Theo a run there, Defoe won't be cheap being English.

If Defoe EVER signed for us then that would be it for me....That man must never ever set foot in our club other than being part of the scum outfit.....in fact if Defoe did sign for us...i would certainly get arrested as i would hurl so much abuse every day at the training ground that he will want to scurry back to that vermin infested, rat poisioned shot hole of N17...NOT AT MY CLUB DEFOE FUCK YOU!!!!!!

And again I will make the point that I am not advocating us signing defoe as I also feel that he is too much of a chav but what I am saying is that defoe has proven himself over a number of seasons to be a very good striker whilst theo has only proved himself capable of finding blind alleys more often than not

defoe is actually a gooner....id sign him, different from our other strikers and one bad season doesnt make him shit. comparisons to walcott are laughable, take away walcotts speed and thats it. sure he scored goals last season but a lot were in a home thrashing of blackpool.

simply not, and never will be good enough as 1st choice player for a top 5 club
