So they called it The Amex Stadium, obviously because they put alot of dosh in.If I remember correctly, their european Headquarters is in Edward Street,Brighton.Just down the road,(opposite the Police Station), is one of Brightons more "spit and sawdust" pubs,(or at least it was),The Thurlow Arms." Chris Eubanks trainer used to drink in there, and used to tip us off as to when to back him.His name was Terry,(something),can't recall it now.Used to drink in there 'til four in the morning sometimes, the landlord at the time was a fellow "Doors" fan,and used to stick a turntable on the bar so that we could listen to his "white label demos",and bootlegs.....great times!!!

I used to be an admin man at American Express. I had a hand in the design of the building. I left before it was completed. So I don't know if there were any major design fuck ups.

Brighton could have been playing in Europe instead of the bastard mancs.

Brighton could have been playing in Europe instead of the bastard mancs.I quite often drive past their new ground and it looks superb, I think I will go and have a look next season.
Thankfully, two of my workmates are season ticket holders. So I have a chance of getting the odd ticket.
I also want to see Crawley Town play next season.
It's been a shit year for Arsenal. But a good year for my Sussex teams.

Sounds good mate. I haven't seen Crawley play for about forty years. Is it still 1s6d to get in?MutleyGooner wrote:A few of the guys at work have season tickets for Brighton and have already said tht I can use them if and when I want. Would be good to met up at Crawley for a few beers with you Ol Git, the barmaids in the Redz bar are quite pleasing on the eye.

I know you are probably panicking right now olgit, based on knowledge of Mutley's sexual preferences.MutleyGooner wrote:Mate, I will let you know when I'm going and if your about then great stuff. But I can confirm that said barmaids are
1. Human.
2. Female.
3. A bit fit.

BTW should I invite our mutual mate Andrew Agate? He lives with my cousin's daughter, just down the road from me. Chelsea scum, but a bloody nice geezer.
